Since October 2022, Bildungswerk has started a Sales Trainee Programme in Edo States under the Career Orientation and Job Placement (CoJoP) partnership with SOS Children's Villages Nigeria.
A total of 160 young people, 92 women and 68 men, participated in a one-week kick-off training in sales/marketing in cross-cutting skills (including soft skills). By December 2022, 150 of them started a 4-month internship in various companies. In order to develop and strengthen their competences in the field of sales, they attended a 1- day per week sales training with the following contents: active listening, marketing mix, material development with the help of the AIDA principle, the telephone as a sales tool, the structured sales process, structuring solutions with the Precision Matrix, etc.
The companies in which the participants did their internships belong to the following sectors: Organic Product Sales, Pharmacy, Fashion, Consulting, Sales Branding and Marketing Agency and Agriculture.
The aim is to be retained by the participating companies at the end of their internship.
CoJoP ist Teil des Programms „Förderung bedarfsgerechter beruflicher Qualifizierung und Jugendbeschäftigung in Nigeria - SKYE“, das vom Bundesministerium für Entwicklung und wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit (BMZ) gefördert und durch die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ GmbH umgesetzt wird.
